These terms apply when you create an account with, or sign a document through, e-Sign by Pigee, operated by Pigee Inc. By using the service you agree to them.
1. The service
e-Sign by Pigee lets you prepare documents, send them for electronic signature, and keep a signed record with an audit trail. Features and limits depend on your plan, as shown on our pricing.
2. Your account
You must give accurate details, keep your sign-in secure, and tell us promptly about any unauthorised use. You are responsible for activity on your account.
3. Your documents and signers
- You own your documents. You give us permission to store and process them only to provide the service.
- You are responsible for the content of your documents, for having the right to send them, and for making sure e-signature is suitable for each document. Some documents, such as wills and some deeds, have special signing rules.
- You are responsible for having a lawful basis to share signers' personal data with us, and for any photo ID you ask signers to provide.
4. Acceptable use
Don't use the service for anything unlawful, fraudulent or misleading, to impersonate anyone, to send spam, or to upload malware. Don't try to break or overload the service. We may suspend accounts that break these rules.
5. Plans and payment
- The Free plan is free. Paid plans are billed in advance, monthly or yearly, through Stripe, and renew automatically until cancelled.
- You can cancel at any time. Your plan stays active until the end of the period you have paid for. We don't refund part periods unless the law requires it.
- We'll give you at least 30 days' notice of a price change, which applies from your next renewal.
6. No legal advice
We are not a law firm. Nothing in the service, our website or our support is legal advice.
7. Availability
We work hard to keep the service running and your data safe, including daily backups, but we can't promise it will always be uninterrupted or error-free.
8. Liability
Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or anything else that cannot be limited by law. Otherwise, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of profit, business or data. Our total liability in any 12 months is limited to the fees you paid us in that period, or £100 if greater.
9. Ending your account
You can close your account at any time. Please download any signed records you want to keep first. We may close accounts that break these terms or that have been inactive on the Free plan for more than 24 months, after giving notice.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. If a change materially affects you, we'll tell you by email or in the portal before it takes effect.
11. Law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and its courts have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer living elsewhere in the UK, you may also bring proceedings in your local courts.
